Permanent Makeup (PMU) Removal · Dallas, TX
PMU is short for permanent makeup: microblading, lip blush, eyeliner, and eyebrow tattoos. It behaves differently than body ink, so we assess yours and tell you what is realistic first.
Cosmetic pigments used in microblading, lip blush, and eyeliner tattoos are formulated differently from body-ink tattoos, so they respond to a laser differently too. Some lighten in a few sessions, some darken briefly before they clear, and a few pigments (especially certain reds and light browns) are more stubborn. We look at your specific PMU at a consultation and give you an honest plan, not a generic timeline borrowed from body-ink removal.
Here is how the process actually goes.
We use the same Hollywood Spectra platform we use on body-ink removal, tuned conservatively for the finer pigment in PMU. Each session sends brief pulses that lighten the pigment gradually across several visits spaced weeks apart so your skin heals between them, and if a full result is not realistic for your pigment we tell you at the start rather than after you have paid for a series.
A look at what stands behind the work we do.
Bring us your brows, lip liner, or eyeliner and your questions. There is no cost and no pressure to book.
Your provider assesses your pigment and skin and gives you a realistic session count, not a guess.
We treat across spaced sessions so your skin can heal between visits, with simple aftercare each time.
We check your fading at each visit and adjust the plan, staying honest about the final result along the way.
We treat permanent makeup removal clients all year long, so there is no wrong season to start. Laser removal lifts pigment gradually over a series spaced weeks apart, and the treated skin stays more sensitive to light while it heals between visits. Sunscreen and a hat over your brows, lip, or eyeliner between sessions keep that skin protected whichever month you begin.

“I get Botox, fillers, micro needling, laser treatments.…I appreciate Josanne’s conservative approach to fillers.”
“Kendra used the IPL laser in that area and my skin looks like I’m 25. Kendra told me what to expect and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. I can’t recommend her enough!!! Go see Kendra!”
“I’ve been getting laser treatments for a scar on my face from a Mohs procedure and it is looking GREAT! Morgan is very skilled and precise and the scar has almost disappeared with only two treatments.”

Book with MorganOften, yes, though permanent makeup (PMU) pigment behaves differently from body-ink tattoos. Cosmetic pigments vary widely in what they are made of, and some respond well to laser treatment while others darken briefly before fading or need more sessions than expected. We assess your specific brows, lip liner, or eyeliner at a consultation and tell you what is realistic before you start.
It depends on the pigment, how deep it sits, and how your skin responds. Most clients need a series of sessions spaced weeks apart so your skin can heal and the pigment can keep clearing between visits. We give you an honest session estimate at your consultation rather than a one-size number.
Most people describe the sensation as brief and manageable, similar to a rubber band snap, and your provider takes steps to keep you comfortable. Afterward the area needs simple aftercare while it heals. We walk you through exactly what to do and what is normal to see as it fades.
That is a common goal, especially before a color correction or a fresh microblading appointment elsewhere. Lightening usually takes fewer sessions than full removal, and we plan toward whichever outcome you actually want at your consultation.
