Woman with smooth, radiant skin smiling in a serene garden, reflecting fractional CO2 laser resurfacing results in Dallas

CO2 Laser Resurfacing · Dallas, TX

Reliable CO2 laser resurfacing

Fractional CO2 laser treats acne scarring, deeper texture, and sun damage in a single session, with honest recovery guidance planned around your calendar.

What CO2 Does

How CO2 laser resurfacing works

CO2 resurfacing uses a carbon dioxide laser to clear away damaged surface skin so your body replaces it with fresh, smoother skin and new collagen.

We use the Lumenis AcuPulse, a fractional CO2 laser. Instead of treating the whole surface at once, it works in thousands of tiny columns and leaves the skin between them untouched. That untouched skin speeds healing, while each treated column signals your body to build new collagen.

CO2 does not have to be intensive. Your provider sets the depth for your skin and your goals: a light pass refreshes tone, texture, and fine lines with little downtime, and a deeper pass reaches acne scarring, crepey skin, and years of sun damage.

What To Expect

What a CO2 resurfacing session involves

Your session usually runs 30 to 45 minutes on the areas you are treating, most often the face and neck, though we also treat the chest, hands, and abdomen for stretch marks. Afterward, plan on real downtime: expect redness, swelling, and sensitivity for several days, and longer after a deeper treatment. Your skin does not peel. Most clients see continued improvement for weeks as new collagen keeps forming, and one session a year is usually enough to maintain results.

Why CO2 resurfacing belongs in the cooler months

Even a light CO2 treatment leaves your skin sensitive to sun for a few days while it heals, and deeper treatments need a little longer. That is why we usually schedule CO2 for the cooler fall and winter months, when it is easier to stay out of strong Dallas UV while your skin rebuilds.

We also plan the session around your calendar so your downtime falls on a quieter week. Once you have healed, daily SPF protects the new collagen from further sun damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fractional CO2 resurfacing questions answered

What is CO2 laser resurfacing?

CO2 laser resurfacing uses a carbon dioxide laser to remove damaged skin cells and prompt new collagen. We treat with the Lumenis AcuPulse, a fractional CO2 laser that works in tiny columns and leaves the skin around each one intact, so it heals faster. Your provider sets the depth, from a light refresh to a deeper treatment for scarring.

What can CO2 resurfacing treat?

Acne scarring, fine to moderate lines, crepey texture, hyperpigmentation and melasma, age spots, sun damage, enlarged pores, and rough texture. We treat the face and neck most often, and also the chest, hands, and abdomen for concerns like stretch marks.

How much downtime should I expect?

More than most skin treatments, and it depends on how deep we go. Even a light CO2 treatment means several days of downtime with redness, swelling, and sensitivity, and a deeper one means longer. Your skin does not peel, and it keeps improving for weeks as new collagen forms. We schedule your session around your calendar so your recovery days do not land before a big event or a work trip.

Who should not get CO2 laser resurfacing?

We do not treat open wounds, active acne breakouts, or infections on the face or neck, and we ask anyone on oral isotretinoin to wait. If you manage a chronic condition like diabetes or hypertension, we ask you to check with your doctor first. Your consultation is where we confirm you are a good candidate.

How much does CO2 resurfacing cost, and how often do I need it?

Pricing depends on the area you treat and your skin, so we set it after your consultation rather than from a public list. For most clients, one session a year keeps results looking fresh. We also offer a Dallas price-match on any published local price, and members save on every service.
